With all of the plastic applicators, I probably could have made the full line of one of my sustainable swimsuit designs. . Without all the cardboard boxes I probably spared an entire tree. Oh! And I saved roughly $288 just by spending about $20 on the menstrual cup! I know they may sound like a strange or even gross concept, but nothing is grosser to the amount of unrecyclable waste that tampons create! . Just in case you're looking for more ways to make your life more eco-friendly! 😁 . Also! Think of all the women who don't have access to tampons! There are several organizations that send menstrual cups to women in certain areas of Africa which then allows them to not miss school or work! If you want to help them out, check out The Cup org or MINA org! . Lastly, to anyone who has ever felt irritated, debilitated, or embarrassed of their period, don't be! I've done some epic things while on my period, like lead group trips canyoneering in the Philippines, and I even had it for half of Kilimanjaro without a single complaint, and instead, proud of how convenient my menstrual cup works 😂 . So yeah, this is not an s-word post, just something I shared w my bf and his friend yesterday and it impressed them so I felt like it might inspire some of you to make the switch away from tampons!! .
