With all that’s going on in the world, we still need to take care of ourselves. I’ve put on a mask and face shield and left home only twice since March. Once for an eye infection that couldn’t be remedied through telemedicine. And another time for my annual mammogram. We all know that long wait, while they’re checking the images. And the sigh of relief and gratitude when the doctor says, “You’re clear.”

Every time that happens I thank God for myself and say a prayer for strength for all the women who will receive a different message. “I’m sorry but...”

October is #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth. My friend @ステラ・マッカートニー asked me to share this film by @LynseyAddario and @AliceAedy with you. “My heart doesn’t have cancer. My smile doesn’t have cancer. My soul doesn’t have cancer. I’m here. I’m alive. I’m doing it.”
