I was clearly proud of myself. “I didn’t cry!” - I’ve never really been a fan of crying (even though I think I’m becoming a softy with age ugh lol) & of course my immigrant father “Papi Lindo” captured every moment with his HUGE - newscaster style camera - a major investment - but a must because we always had to send videos back to Ecuador to show them how things were here in the States. If you had an immigrant parent did they have to capture EVERYTHING too? Lol. Well, now watching this video I’m so grateful. I’m grateful for the long drive to Virginia Beach from NYC (we couldn’t afford flights) & I’m grateful for the flagship motel that had the pool in the parking lot. I’m grateful because up until a few years ago I swore we were at the Ritz Carlton. Lol. I’m grateful for all of it.
