These @theofficialpandora charms always remind me of my first trek in the rainforests of Sumatra. I was 15 and it was school camp. We trekked for 9 hours up the rainforest to a camp on a river in tents and had the most amazing fruits/dinner. We saw orangutans in the wild and countless other monkeys. The flora and fauna were incredibly rich, as well as it’s unique biodiversity. I was very fortunate to have experienced the rainforest while it’s still here. It really made me sad to see mostly palm oil plantations instead of jungle when driving around Sumatra. This memorable first trek through the jungle changed my life and motivated me to make a difference and to protect it, as it made me realise how much there is still worth protecting for.
