Where we are fortunate enough to have a koala reserve and are able to spot koalas and sometimes their joeys (if we’re lucky!). I can’t imagine a world without them❤️ It is devastating to hear that over 50 hectares of critical koala habitat in Port Stevens NSW, is set to be cleared after Federal Environment Minister, @sussanleymp, approved the expansion of a quarry. This decision comes after bushfires pushed koalas closer to being officially listed as #endangered. It is more important than ever to protect what did not burn - planting young trees is sadly not going to offset 52 hectares of mature forest. ✨Fortunately as part of the #RegenerateAustralia campaign, @wwf_australia have announced an incredible vision to double the number of Koalas in eastern Australia by 2050 - giving them a chance to thrive not just survive.❤️ What can we do?
