But there are days in your life that mean the world to you personally: a major accomplishment, graduation, a birth... and then there are days that are unforgettable in their tragedy (assassinations, attacks) these public experiences always leave us remembering exactly where we where, and what we were doing. But to have a day of such Public shared joy, the dancing in the streets, the cheering, the country’s choice to elect the first black and south Asian WOMAN as VP! This was an unforgettable day. I know the electoral college hasn’t voted, I know there will be recounts and anxiety and fear for what the next 10 weeks will bring. But I just want to say thank you to all the voters, thank you to all the COUNTERS who worked SO HARD, thank you to the journalists who kept us informed and aware and to those who serve so selflessly when they run for office. It’s been hard and scary to hope for a while now, I think it’s time for a change. This is just the beginning.
