I had the good fortune to be invited to the @ナショナルジオグラフィック 125 Anniversary part in Washington DC.
Not many photographers were invited so it was an honor that I didn’t take lightly. In a pre-dinner cocktail hour I was able to spend a good deal of time with Alex Trebek. He didn’t talk about himself, he basically interviewed me and asked all sorts of questions about where I grew up, what kind of photography I did, where I now lived etc.

Fast forward a few years and this question(see below) comes up in Jeopardy....I received dozens of text messages and a few calls from friends who were watching. The very best part is that my parents, who never missed a show, heard the question, looke at each other and said “What is the National Geographic?”

RIP Alex, you are a class act and will live on in the millions of dollars that you gave to educational and National Geographic related causes. @ナショナルジオグラフィック #jeopardy #Trebek
