I wasn’t aware that for the last four years I’d been holding my breath, until yesterday when I finally exhaled.

I exhaled for everyone in any marginalized group who has felt hurt or hopeless or angry or less than. Who has felt AFRAID, for your life, for your rights, for our future. YOU ARE ALL MORE THAN. And we just proved that.

Good riddance to the hurtful and embarrassing resident who occupied the White House for the last four years. You will not be missed.

The good fight isn’t over just because we’ve exhaled; the symbol of hate has been voted out, but there’s still a long road ahead.

Hope is surging through the veins of the United States again.
