Rich McCorさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Rich McCorInstagram)「Ad| It's a weird one trying to pinpoint the moment you started a hobby. If you're lucky enough to do well with it, there'll come a day when someone asks "What made you start doing that?" but, it's hard to recall what was going through your head because in that moment your mind isn't anywhere, it's lost, in your curiosity. That theme of letting yourself be lost in your own curiosity excites me because it's what happened to me and allowed me to make a living. Yet, because my career is unconventional there's an unconventional journey behind it and that's sometimes hard to break down. It's the same for a lot of people who are doing something far away from whatever a 'normal job' is. So, over the past couple of weeks I've talked to a couple of other people who also allowed their curiosity to change their lives and alongside @surface_uk, we’ve made a series of short films all about being curious, unconventional and discovering a unique perspective along the way. Starting this Friday 13th (because you make your own luck) I'll be posting a short film to my IGTV to kick off this new series, #BeneathTheSurface. Episode One is about how I got into papercraft & photography and how I combined them to discover my own lens on the world. In the following episodes I'll be talking to Anna, co-founder of @patternity, all about how a love for patterns took her on a wild journey into design, culture and psychology which shapes how she sees the world. Then I talk to Dom, the mind behind social venues and movements like @streetfeastLDN & @aplateforlondon - about the challenges of a non-traditional career, how Coronavirus messed up big plans and how what may seem like insignificant observations can actually be the start of huge opportunities. This series isn't intended to be a step by step of how to turn a hobby into a job, instead it's about letting yourself follow your curiosity and letting that form your own unique lens on the world. As you'll see in the series, when you have a unique perspective, opportunities start to open up #BeneathTheSurface #CreatedOnSurface @microsoftuk」11月11日 0時25分 - paperboyo
