Our big Aspen wedding in the snow turned into an Aspen wedding in the summer (date pushed back), which turned into an in-state Napa wedding (no airplane travel!).... which turned into a family-only Santa Barbara wedding (no superspreader events!)... which turned into us eloping to Bora Bora (on what was supposed to be our honeymoon)! And it was perfect. We were able to be fully present. We were grounded and focused on our thoughts and the promises we chose that day (and every day from now on!) We took our first steps as a couple in solace, free of influences or distractions, holding a pure space for the future and the family we wish to create. It was more sacred than a big show. More real than surreal. And couldn't have been more perfect for us... we celebrated love. Being a bride in 2020 was a pretty unique experience, but it has taught me so much. Mostly- make plans in life, but not too many.
