Wonderfully complex for such a young wine, it shows notes black cherry, raspberry, rose petals, green and black pepper, and herbs. It's lush and silky with an energetic minerality. This is a wine that clearly has a long and exciting life ahead of it.⠀

At 6.06 hectacres (15 acres), La Tâche is D.R.C's largest vineyard and encompasses a number of different soil structures including decomposed limestone, pebble, and limestone debris as well as clay soil mixed with fossilized oyster deposits.⠀

The vineyard's complex geology combined with the breadth of altitudes makes it an exquisite synthesis of Vosne- Romanée. The 2014 vintage had its fair share of challenges — including hail that caused wide-spread damage to grapes and rainy conditions that could have led to rot and/or slow maturation of the grapes, but the idyllic September weather that year brought the harvest to a close on a very high note.⠀

Many producers were successful in dealing with these challenges and the good weather around harvest greatly helped the quality of the vintage overall.⠀
