Korea: The Never Ending War - Today, on Veterans Day, we honor all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, thank you for your service. For 70 years now the Korean War has been going on. Though an armistice agreement was signed in the summer of 1953, ending the fighting, the war itself technically never ended. There are still over 28,000 American soldiers stationed in Korea today. Here’s a look back at my @ナショナルジオグラフィック story published in 2003 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary. - Divided Korea: Face-Off Along the DMZ. I photographed life along the demilitarized zone (DMZ), the border barrier between the north and south.
