防衛大臣政務官として阪神基地隊へ視察に行って参りました。
阪神基地隊の前身である大阪基地隊は1953年（昭和28年）に 新編され、大阪市旧東区（現在の中央区）に置かれていました。

大西が生まれた翌年の1968年（昭和43年）に現在の西宮市に移転。

選挙区でもある大阪1区に所縁があり、歴代の阪神基地隊司令とも当時からの防衛協会青年部関係のよしみで懇意にして頂き、今回はリラックスして視察をする事が出来ました。
また阪神基地隊内にPAC3配備に伴っての陸海空合同訓練も見ることが叶い基地所属の掃海艇の視察も行いました。

I went to visit the Hanshin Base Corps as Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Defense.
The Osaka Base Corps, the predecessor of the Hanshin Base Corps, was newly formed in 1953 (Showa 28) and was located in the former Higashi Ward (now Chuo Ward) of Osaka City.

Moved to the present Nishinomiya City in 1968 (Showa 43), the year after Onishi was born.

It is related to the 1st district of Osaka, which is also an electoral district, and I was able to relax and inspect this time because I was able to get acquainted with the successive commanders of the Hanshin base corps because of the goodness of the youth club of the Defense Association from that time.
In addition, we also visited the minesweepers belonging to the base, which made it possible to see the joint land, sea and air training accompanying the deployment of PAC3 within the Hanshin base corps.
