What is beauty for a person who cannot see? Is it possible to relate to fashion without the sense of sight? Attempting to answer these questions is Michele A. Williams, a researcher from North Carolina with a PhD in Human-Centered Computing, who for 15 years has been interested in the user experience of technological systems by people with disabilities. "I was wondering how blind people felt about something as visual as clothing, and if technology could become an adequate tool for making information accessible,” says Williams. "According to my studies, at first glance there are no differences in the way something is perceived, but only in the reasoning that leads the individual to a certain conclusion. The spectrum of possibilities between the sighted and the blind is the same."
