This week I’ve had some insightful conversations on and off camera. One has stuck in my head and continues to help me dig deeper. We all dislike a version of ourselves. Whether it’s us in certain situations or perhaps a version of us in the past. We neglect, berate and disown that part of who we are but really that bit of us needs compassion and empathy. If I’m honest I often think very badly of myself when in my twenties. I see younger Fearne as foolish, naive and stupid. This week rather than continue that negative dialogue, I’m headed back to comfort and nurture that younger version of me. I’m trying to comfort her and tell her the things she needs to hear. I think if we can make peace with all parts of who we are and who we were then we can really start to seek peace and move through life with much more acceptance.
