Recent protests in Peru have led to the resignation of the country’s interim president.
Peru’s younger generation — dubbed the "bicentennials" in reference to the country's upcoming 200-years of independence — have been the driving force of protests and don't plan to stop until constitutional reform is made.
“We want to fix the mistakes of past generations,” 18-year-old Grace Yarango said. “I feel part of this bicentennial generation, we want a better country.”
Peru’s bicentennials could be crucial in the upcoming April election. More at the link in our bio.
