This year as we honor those we have lost due to oppression and violence, I feel it is especially pertinent to highlight the Extraordinary resilience of the trans community. Trans people throughout history have demonstrated extraordinary courage and resilience in the face of oppression, violence, degradation and erasure. And yet, we still find joy in our lives and the discovery and expression of our true selves. This joy is the ultimate revolutionary act and an important part of the legacy our ancestors have left for us.
