There are lots of different theories about how humans perceive colors, but when @oliverheathdesign told me about Schloss and Palmer's study from 2010 saying that our color memories from nature and previous positive or negative visual experiences might affect what we like and do not - it resonated with me. I think it’s a very interesting starting point for self-analysis. Can we find clues on to how to choose colors for our homes, to feel at our best, from the exterior we grew up in? Instead of copying color codes from famous influencers on instagram… Ask yourself; What positive color memories do you have from the nature? And which ones do you associate with negative experiences? If you are looking for a more personal color scheme, this can definitely be a thought exercise worth trying.
