That means 80,000 acres of forests disappear from the earth every single day. That’s why I’m proud to partner with @Aspiration and join the #plantyourchange movement to plant a tree with every purchase. Places like where I’m standing here are becoming more and more scarce, and our planet cannot survive if this rate of deforestation continues. While you may not feel the personal effects of this right now depending on where you live, it’s really only a matter of time before you do. A quick google search will you show you that the climate crisis is here - from the wildfires that burnt my sister’s Malibu home to the ground in 2019, to the hurricanes (yes, plural) that are literally right this moment slamming an already under water & storm ravaged Central America… it hits closer and closer to home. The villages in Honduras where I’ve volunteered with @humanityandhope have been completely devastated over these past two weeks, and it’s insanely heart breaking.
