#TBT to when I voiced on #GIJOE the original animated series, as #Scoop, who had started as a member of #COBRA and then joined the #realamerican heroes … it’s complicated but this scene explains it … this was the last season of the “original GI Joe series” when DIC took over the show, and the voice of #Destro was @maurice_lamarche (who also matched several other characters in that series: #CobraCommander, #Low-light, #Serpentor, #Copperhead) and the inimitable #jimbyrnes was #AlleyViper. Years later I got cast in the first #GIJOE live action movie, #gijoeriseofcobra , and ultimately my on camera appearance was cut, but my character wound up being the “voice of missile command” which is heard quite a bit in the third act of the movie….. also, a great memory of recording this show was that the studio was the legendary #littlemountainsound in Vancouver, and there were other rock bands in the adjacent studios. I remember meeting @davidleeroth (he had a scaling wall built in the loading dock), @aerosmith recording #Pump, and @motleycrue who were recording #drfeelgood at the time… I clearly remember @ヴィンス・ニール explaining to me that @トミー・リー had already done all his drum tracks and was gone, as they lay down their separate tracks, and overdubbed their vocals…. if you listen closely you can hear #thecrue yelling “he’s the one that makes you feel good!” In the background!
