Soul Sister : A sister not related by blood but bonded at heart through time,space, and distance. Traits include : listening and understanding fully without judgement or solution; knowing the right thing to say; sharing belongings and desserts; regularly reminding each other of their strengths.

Since our Africa trip in February we have been apart but never in heart. Praying for her recovery and healing from her illness this year and may chemo do her well and get her back to her sprightly self by the end of 2020! 💕 If anyone knows the word resilience its @nicole.seagriff !

Throughout the beginning of the pandemic she has been a brave frontline worker. Nicole is a Nurse Practitioner (and for those who don’t know what that entails) she serves in a community health center @chc1ct providing health care services in medically underserved rural and urban areas in the United States. Nurse-managed health centers provide health care to thousands of uninsured and underinsured people every year. These are some of the many unseen heroes of this crazy pandemic. Needless to say, the lives she’s touched (including mine) is lucky to have her🍀

This Thanksgiving I am grateful to have @nicole.seagriff as my my soul sister. How lucky to have someone so determined and accomplished (also loves desserts!) to journey with in this long hike called life!

Can’t wait for us to get together and sing our favorite Disney song “Almost there!” You are almost there!
