The goal is $25,503 but if they raise more, they grant more so go crazy! Here’s some wishes that have recently been granted: Kristionna is 23 and just graduated with a degree in social work. She grew up in foster care and aged out of the system without being adopted or reunified. One Simple Wish granted a wish to pay for her cap and gown! Kate just graduated culinary school and got married about two years ago. Her and her husband wanted to have kids but she was unable to get pregnant. Her doctor recommended a chiropractor to help and it was not covered by insurance so OSW granted a wish for sessions. She ended up getting pregnant and having a healthy baby girl named Lois! Lexi aged out of foster care and just got custody of her 15-year-old sister who was in foster care so that she didn't have to grow up in the system. She has one child and another on the way! Lexi's wish was for a baby shower and OSW was able to help her throw a beautiful event! We also granted a wish for new clothes for her little sister. Kim has always dreamt of having a stand-up paddle board. After spending time in foster care herself, she decided to start a nonprofit dedicated to supporting others like her and now she runs a mentor program for former foster youth. OSW was able to make her super cool wish come true so she could try out this dream! Alexis and Justin - OSW helped pay for services for their wedding last year! They are both aged out of foster care, though Alexis got adopted in her 20s, and they recently wrote a book together to help other young people navigate relationships after foster care. Terrence - He grew up in foster care and aged out after living in 20 different placements. Now, at 31, he's got an amazing job as a social worker, and just bought his own home!
