“Ira really was farsighted in looking at what he wanted to capture,” says Robert ‘Wingnut’ Weaver about Ira Opper’s 1999 documentary, ‘Super Slide,’ which covered the longboard renaissance from all angles. “He’d already been chronicling a lot of the early filmmakers’ movies, so he knew how important it was to get a wide scoop of activity and action of a particular era, then presenting it in different ways so that it was palatable for everyone.”
