ローラ・エンバーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ローラ・エンバーInstagram)「Back in 2016 before giving this place a crack for the first time the boys I was travelling with joked about taping up each of my legs before I surfed....The idea was that it would hopefully help keep my legs in one piece if I fell haha. I’m not sure if it would have helped but I fell on my second wave and blew out my knee... I think the fam thought I might have been deterred from the idea of big wave surfing after the injury but it became the opposite 🤪 My knee healed eventually. I decided to press pause on competitive surfing and dedicated the next couple of years to pushing myself in different big waves in Australia (documented in @undonefilm) Finally almost exactly 3 years after my injury I made it back to Jaws with more experience, more confidence, the same knobly kneees/legs but this time as you can see in these pics with 2x knee braces and some tape 😂 It was only a small / very windy day at Jaws but it felt bloody good to get the monkey off the back. I won’t be getting over to hawaii this year (the first year since i was 12 years old) but i’ll be watching and cheering everyone on and getting very excited for next time :) @billabongwomens @hyundaiaus @undonefilm IMAGES - @margarita_salyak」12月4日 6時33分
