Recently I’ve noticed I’ve been particularly hard on myself, especially regarding self-image. I don’t share this for acknowledgement, but to hopefully connect with someone else out there who might be feeling similar. We all are so eager to express what is going well in our lives especially in social media, that we fail to be vulnerable and express the real, mundane, day-to-day emotions we experience. . One of my core values as a human is kindness, and I always make sure that it drives how I interact and connect with people around me. Lately, I’ve been trying to lean into that and see what would happen if I made that kindness a priority for how I communicated with myself as well, and how that might feel.
