ヴィッキー・パティソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ヴィッキー・パティソンInstagram)「Lastnight I lay awake til almost 4am- which quite frankly is not unusual for me but none the less when my alarm went off at 7am I was dreading the day infront of me 🥺 I am neurotic, I suffer with anxiety and insomnia and can often go weeks without a decent nights sleep and then all of a sudden there’s no stopping me- you can’t wake me up for love nor money! 😂 Snoring, drooling and duvet hogging for Britain- think Sleeping Beauty but less dainty Princess, more sweaty creature in Harry Potter pjs 😂😂😂 Oh and there’s no chance a kiss from @ercan_ram will do the trick either- I’m out for the count 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ There’s no apparent rhyme or reason to these episodes- just sometimes it worse than others and I didn’t really see much point in talking about it- it’s just one of those annoying quirks I have I told myself. My crazy brain overthinking everything. Ruining things as usual. Then I saw this today and realised that, contrary to what I tell myself in the early hours of the morning- I am not alone, I am not a weirdo and other people ARE experiencing this too. And that brought me a little comfort.  If you are reading this, and you’re slumped over a coffee, shattered, longing to get home from work and fall into bed but already worrying about what intrusive, irrational and evil little thoughts are going to creep into your mind when your eyes close forcing you into a night of agitated tossing and turning and fractured micro naps- I just wanted to share this.. It brought me some solace and I hope it does for you too.   None of us are perfect- we all have flaws, fears, dreams unfulfilled, irrational worries that in the clear light of day we see for exactly what they are but in the dead of night consume our minds entirely. These things don’t make us any less worthy of a happy life- we are constant works in progress, developing, growing and evolving always. Trust in that, trust in your journey, allow yourself mistakes, forgive others theirs and know that you doing your best and that is enough.
