She was only six – she had cancer and passed away very suddenly, within two weeks of diagnosis. We’re lucky we got to spend that time with her while we were working from home; my daughter was home, too. One day she was listless and wasn’t eating. She had tumors in her stomach that burst. We got her emergency surgery, Chinese supplements, and enrolled her in a Yale vaccine trial. It was good to have those two weeks but she was really young.
