Last nite I watched a movie called "The secrets we keep" starring Noomi Rapace Of a Jewish war survivor who was brutally raped and executed and left for dead by a Nazi officer. She survived and through out the movie The film makers repeatedly showed this scene in flashbacks maybe 20 times. The thing that came to my mind was how this depiction in a Hollywood movie in 2020, was identical to real footage I've only seen during the coverage of the Sri Lankan civil war which beamed across everyone's 2009 lap tops and smart phones in real time. YouTube twitter Google apple smartphones allowed the murderers to stream and share and gloat while committing war crimes making fun The Sri Lankan Army brutally killed tens of thousands of Tamil fighters and around 40 000 civilians. Striped naked women dumped in heaps of mass graves. This was the first war recorded in the digital era on phones. The unimaginable violence and brutal killings and rapes were celebrated with fire works and parties in the street, main stream media applauded these images, repeatedly showing again and again to celebrate The ending of the Tamil resistance.
