Over 50% of forcibly displaced people are women and children . I am deeply honored to be allowed to be a part of this effort. Though as our Chief @filippograndi has said , if just a few countries could end their conflicts there would be so many fewer ppl who would have to flee violence. It would be wonderful if there was no need for the UNHCR. But while there is I am happy to be a part of that effort . I think about the people that I have met in my trips with @refugees , like this adorable baby, and I hope they are ok.
