Two years later he took me on as a high jumper. Fast forward to today and he wasn’t wrong (when it comes to athletics, his eyes rarely are). He expertly guided me safely and healthily through my junior years. Each year building on the one before, carefully laying the foundations of a longevous senior career. As with any sporting career, there have been highs and lows and he has ridden those waves with me. Our 16 years of work together has output: 2 World Uni Games finals, 2 Commonwealth Games finals, 3 World Champs teams, 2 National titles and the everlasting title of Olympian.
