"We found more ideas in local antiques stores, in the San Francisco flower market, and from new friends. When it came time to shoot, we forgot it was midsummer. As photographers, writers, and designers hung swags, looked for errant glass balls, cut out cookies, and wrapped gifts, it reminded me of my brothers and sisters scurrying to finish everything by Christmas Eve."
