NOW I KNOW! We can’t wait to get back to work in 2021 and bring hope and solutions to the lives of many. 🙏💜🙏 @allhandsandhearts: 16 years ago today, the Boxing Day Tsunami, which is often referred to as the deadliest tsunami in history, struck the west coast of northern Sumatra in Indonesia. Its impact was devastating, killing more than 220,000 people across 14 countries. Our founders, David and Petra were both indelibly changed by this disaster. Seeing vast unmet needs in the varying communities affected, they were motivated to build an organization that would respond in times of crisis. This was the birth of All Hands and Hearts. We work with communities to build back safer, stronger and more resiliently after disasters. We arrive early to respond to immediate needs and stay late well into communities' recovery. We're grateful to be able to continue supporting these communities, even through this challenging time. In 2021, we'll start off the year with a number of programs: Hurricane Relief in The Bahamas and Louisiana, Earthquake Relief in Mexico, and a COVID-19 Relief in California.
