Brussels Gallery Weekend is a celebration of artists from the city of Brussels, Belgium, hosting a varied assortment of free and broadly accessible art showings and exhibitions from galleries and ateliers all over the city.

Born in 1955, São Paulo, Brazil, Fernando Marques Penteado lives and works in Brussels. Diverging from patriarchal notions of gender-typical crafts, Fernando implements the use of textiles and embroidery to explore issues surrounding the expression of gender and sexuality in his visual compositions.
