Some of you may already have heard via the Kawaii Monster Cafe's official website and social media accounts, but the BAGUS Co., Ltd, has announced that the KMC will be closing as of January 31st, 2021.

We would like to thank all of the performers, artists and creators who had thought, "Finally! A place of our own!" and contributed all of their amazing talents. Also, thank you to the chef and cafe staff for always making our guests feel so welcome. And especially, I am tremendously grateful to you who came all the way to KMC from all over the world and loved this place.

Kawaii Monster Cafe might disappear for a while, but if the world needs it, the Monster will appear again, albeit in a different form. Until then, please wait with us looking forward excitedly to the day of the Monster’s resurrection!

KAWAII MONSTER CAFEが2021年1月31日にクローズすることが発表されました。

来店してくれた方々、関わってくれた方々、5年前の夏「やっと私たちの場所ができた！」と喜んでくれた同志たち、あの世界観を一緒に作ってくれた多くの皆様に感謝です。そして、世界中からわざわざここへ目掛けて遊びに来てくれて、愛してくれたあなたにも、心より感謝しています。

“プロデュース”と言いつつ、毎週のようにミーティングに参加して、原宿という街に、世界に誇れる自由でボーダレスでカラフルな場所がある意義というものを大切にディスカッションを重ねました。残り1ヶ月、KAWAII MONSTER CAFEとしてのメッセージをどう残すか、準備していきたいと思います。

KAWAII MONSTER CAFEは閉店まで毎日オープンしています。このご時世で外出しづらい日々ですが、原宿に来る機会があれば、ぜひ店舗に寄って、最後の1ヶ月間を目撃してください。

しばらくの間店舗は無くなりますが、発信してきたメッセージが消えるというわけではありません。この世の中に、この世界が必要ならば、今とはまた違う姿で、皆様の前に現れることになるでしょう。その時まで、モンスターの復活の日をぜひ楽しみに待っていてください！
