The towering grove on Ditidaht First Nation Territory on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada was destroyed with approval from British Columbia's NDP government. The trees had been growing for THOUSANDS OF YEARS and it will take another thousand years before we could ever hope to see a forest like this again. Old-growth forests are essential to our planet, but British Columbia is re-logging forests every 30 to 80 years.
