SWIPE. Guess what. “Influencers” don’t always have the answers. People expect so much from people who have an influence, but it’s not always that easy. It’s a big responsibility. Sometimes people speak to protect themselves,and sometimes people don’t speak to marinate. To think. To feel. I just wanted to post this because it’s something that spoke to ME, (thank you @ohhappydani), and I hope it resonates with you. When you are caught in a cycle of inaction, the tendency is to remain “at rest.” It takes a lot more energy to take that first action to get moving again than it does to continue a consistent course of action. On the other hand, once you are in action, with each action you take toward your goals, you gain momentum. We are gaining momentum. If I’m being completely transparent, I’m having a call tomorrow to educate myself more on the American government as a Canadian. And don’t think “let’s all move to canada”, because we DEFINITELY have our problems too. White supremacy has always been there, and it’s growing. Let’s just say I’m still NOT surprised by the actions that happened the other night. I don’t have answers. I don’t even know what to say because no matter what it will piss people off. Which I’m never usually worried about. At this point I just have so many emotions that I’m trying to processes. But it’s not about me. Let’s do our research on how to help our black friends while they process. To also acknowledge the Jewish community, to fight against racism and Antisemitism. Work on being UNITED, and keep taking ACTION to make a difference. Online and offline. We are responsible for the energy we create. I couldn’t be more proud of this community. We support the growth, the equality and the love for one another. I do not want to witness horrific behavior anymore. I Mean, who does? WHAT DO WE STAND FOR? Think about it. I’m standing for more Learning, less entitlement, hate, violence and oppression. There will always be comments to come at me, and you can In the dms.
