We developed some film from the past few months, and it was bittersweet to find this roll, from the days immediately following our car accident. We had packed the camera to take along on our roadtrip home, but that never happened. You can read more of the account on my blog, but here are some photos of our time in a town we spent a few days in in northern Texas, post ice-storm with no power in the whole county. We walked around with no phones, and while it was cold and lonely, we decided to use the roll of film to pass the time while we waited for the power to come back on. I know some of these photos are hard to look at but I’ve included some of the less graphic ones as a reminder to please always wear your seatbelt. It’s the only reason I’m still here. And of course that last photo as a palette cleanser if you need it.
