“California Dreamin’” with The Mamas & The Papas. It was thrilling for us CBS Orchestra members (including Tom “Bones” Malone, nailing the famous Bud Shank alto flute solo) to perform this classic song with the 3 (then) living members, John Phillips, Michelle Phillips and Denny Doherty at their Rock Hall induction. I see Vaneese Thomas, Lani Groves and Elaine Caswell back there singin’ (it took 3 singers to fill Mama Cass’s shoes)! #thisboyslife
