It’s called @rewatchingwives, and is hosted by @srdalbesio, @the_bms_books, and me 🤗 If you know me IRL, you probably know that I am obsessed with most things @bravotv produces, especially the Real Housewives. I used to be embarrassed by my love of trash tv, but I’ve learned to embrace it and celebrate it, and have realized there’s nothing to be embarrassed about! So many women on these shows are BOSSES, and I’ve learned a lot about ambition and chasing my dreams by watching them over the years. And I’ve learned a lot about drama 🙃 Instead of making yet another podcast where we rehash what’s happening in the current Bravo universe, we decided to focus on one of my favorite activities - beginning at the beginning, and analyzing the evolution as we go. That means we’re starting with the OGs - Real Housewives of Orange County, Season One, and will be rewatching through all cities chronologically. It’s such a fun experience, revisiting the cultural events and terrible fashions of the mid-aughts, and discussing the evolution of society (and the evolution of Bravo productions). No topic is off the table, from the historical origins of the MILF, to the role of @playboy in the feminist worldview, to the housing crisis, to the rise and fall of Hummers. And all the low-rise jeans and bedazzled tank tops in between. Our first two episodes are live now on @applepodcasts, @spotifypodcasts, @googlepodcast, @stitcherpodcasts (or wherever you stream your podcasts), and new episodes will be released every Wednesday.
