We, as many, were angered by the clear imbalance of treatment of those storming the Capitol grounds compared to the treatment of BIPOC by law enforcement on a daily basis, most recently to supporters at Black Lives Matter protests. The events that took place were powered by white supremacy and systemic racism, and those who incited and participated in the riots must be held accountable. We have joined Civic Alliance and hundreds of businesses to call for an orderly and peaceful transition of power affirming the will of the voters and ensuring that President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris are inaugurated at noon on January 20, 2021. As a business and community, we are in support of any efforts to minimize the negative impact of the current administration.
