Hidden away for over 30 years and totally fresh to the market, these exquisite works not only tell the tale of post-war France, but stand at the absolute epicentre of the Parisian intelligentsia. All but one of these paintings were exhibited at Galerie Drouin in the 1940s – arguably ‘the’ gallery in Paris at the time. Their shows were legendary so to find these gems that were acquired and shown contemporaneously with these events is incredible.
