Interesting insight from Svetlana on her training! • @svetlanaboguinskaia I was so glad to see this video and to know Russian gymnastics still using same methods of teaching Beam series or repetitive skills as when i was in National team. One day at Lake Round National Training center we all came to the gym and stared in disbelief at two high Beams back to back making ONE long Beam. From that day we started to work basic skills like back, front walkovers, back handspring step-outs and layout step-outs series on both beams. Explanation was if you can connect 6 skills and in your routine you have only 2 or 3 skills series it will make it so much easier in a long run. Two connected Beams ended up my favorite station that i was looking forward to come every day and challenge myself.
