@maza.travel How to road trip ~SAFELY~ in 2021 🚙

What’s up friends! As you all know, we loved bringing you all along for our local and safe road trips last year and going into this year.

It was the first time in our lives both of us got to discover all these amazing natural lands in our own country and were so grateful we got the opportunity thanks to the world situation. 🇺🇸

Below are our tips WE PERSONALLY suggest for road tripping safely during this time. ⤵️

‘𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄’ to refer to when planning your own trip.

1. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞/𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, and either call or check the website for restrictions/closings. Not only is it so disappointing to drive all the way somewhere just to see a gate in your face, but 99% of the time can be prevented by doing some research. 🗺
2. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫, wipes, and alcohol wipes with you. 🧼 In general, we have noticed that all public places like rest areas and gas stations are so much more clean than ever before. What we like to do to take the extra step for safety is to grab fuel pumps with wipes/napkins, always use sanitizer when returning to the car, was hands frequently, etc 🧴
3. 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝, or order to-go. That way you can take your food and enjoy it as a picnic in nature! 🧺
4. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 when you can! In the winter it’s more challenging when it’s freezing out but during the warmer months we love to camp! 🏕
5. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, nature is the best place to be right now. Always always leave no trace. Take only pictures, leave only footprints! 👣 📷
