Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes while Black men are 2.5 times more likely to be killed by the police, than their White counterparts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These disparities are the result of racist policies and practices, including slavery, that undermined the human rights and social mobility of Black people.
