My two nights in this marvelous Korean traditional house, Hanok, was just so very relaxing, especially when it snowed heavily at night and everything was covered in white moist snow. Tranquil, purifying and soothing.. I mean I didn’t come here for detox or meditation, but when you are surrounded by this old wooden space located in the middle of mountains, you naturally start breathing deeply in and out. That’s meditation, isn’t it? Trully focusing on your act of breathing.
오랜 고택을 지금까지 보존해서 많은 사람들이 쉬러 오는 숙소가 되기까지, 긴 고민의 시간들과 정성의 손길이 오고 갔겠죠. 오늘 눈 덮인 고택 부지를 깔깔 웃으면서 힘겨워도 즐겁게 치우시는 직원 분들과, 주차장 제설작업 하는 김에 저희 차에 덮인 눈도 치우셨다고 발간 손으로 염화칼슘을 뿌리시던 사장님의 얼굴이 참 고마웠습니다. 흰 앞치마를 두르고 대청마루 위를 사뿐사뿐 걸어다니시는 청소 요정 실장님까지. 사람의 마음이 오가며 닿는 이 곳에 잠시 머물다 갑니다.
