Angela Luna and Loulwa Al Saad launched @adiffnyc in 2017 "to draw connections between global issues and fashion," starting with a parka that transforms into a tent, sold on a buy-one-give-one model for homeless and displaced people. That concept of multi-functional, purposeful design also inspired their latest project, the Open Source Fashion Cookbook, a book of fashion patterns and "recipes" to upcycle and transform your own clothes at home. Other designers like @chromat and @クリストファーレイバーン shared their patterns and DIY tips for the project, too. "I had this crazy idea to get a collective of designers together so we could work on actually making sustainability accessible and inclusive,” Luna says. “If you don’t have a few hundred dollars to spend on an outfit, you can still participate.” Tap the link in bio for the full story.
