It's an outdoor activity that I have not experienced and have been wanting to do for years but fear of the unknown has keep me from attempting adventures in the backcountry. Also, there hasn't been a pack that fits my body. I can never find packs that close at the hip belt or find a female body type pack that fits my wide frame in the shoulders. I was super excited to find out that the hubs, @carlos_de_la_mission was going to try out a prototype pack from @gregorypacks geared toward #plussize folks, but to find out that they were coming out with backpacking packs too filled me with excitement! They sent both Carlos and I a backpacking pack to try out and I am ecstatic to finally be able to put on a pack that is made for a extra extra large body like mine. Carlos and I are retraining our bodies to hike longer distances and my goal this summer, if possible, is to hike the Lost Coast, a through hike that I've been dreaming about for a while. And in 5 years I hope to hike the JMT. 🤞🏽 Right now all the backcountry campsites are closed due to Covid, so we have to wait to get the packs a full try out, but it's great to fill up the packs and hike around and get a feel of weight distribution and how the packs move with our bodies.
