For anyone who has followed Parke’s career, it is clear that film and science fiction in particular have always been a strong influence on his work.

17 years on, his ongoing project The Crimson Line is a follow-up to Trent Parke's prior project, Minutes to Midnight, photographs from a road trip around the Australian continent, the dystopian tone of which reflected Parke’s sense of growing unease with the politics of that decade.
