Funny story: the first time I came to Cuba 5 years ago, was actually my first ever paid travel writing assignment where I also got the go to the destination! The magazine was about luxury travel and fashion, two things at the time that I didn’t have (well and Cuba didn’t really have either), but I wrote my little heart out anyway as the models had photoshoots every day. . Obviously I was not in those photoshoots because I was the writer, not a model. So it was very entertaining for me to be asked to do a photoshoot this time I was in Cuba! . As you can see, I’m not very good at “serious face” posing, but I’m so grateful the photographer (@yaas_valdes) and my little model coach (@devonruizzz ) insisted I keep trying, so I’ll have these amazing shots to look back on when I’m older! .
