グッゲンハイム美術館さんのインスタグラム写真 - (グッゲンハイム美術館Instagram)「“Who is more vulnerable: the human who built the machine or the machine who is controlled by a human?” ⠀ This is the moral question raised in “Can’t Help Myself” (2016), a site-specific installation created for the Guggenheim by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu. The artists were invited to create an artwork in response to ideas of territory, boundary, and borders. The result was a modified industrial robot, designed to continuously sweep an oozing dark-red liquid so it remains within a certain circumference. When sensors detect that the liquid has seeped beyond the boundary, the robotic arm carefully pulls the liquid back into place.
